Alexandre Rosalino was born in Belo Horizonte, in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. He is self taught, and a member of an up and coming generation of primitive/naïve artists in the country. After completing his formal education in jewelry-making, he decided to take some art courses at the Free Art School in São Roque, São Paulo, returning to his native Minas Gerais in 1992 to begin his professional career as a painter. |
